CONTROLLED STOP

You may be asked to carry out an Emergency Stop on your Driving Test. Your examiner will make you aware that they will be testing you on emergency stopping, it wont be a surprise during your driving test.

It's important to practise the emergency stop with your Driving Instructor so your reflex reaction becomes a habit. Bare in mind, an emergency stop in a manual car is slightly different to that in an automatic.
